Community Prayers 08.03.14

As a community, we can support and celebrate with each other through prayer. Join us in praying for those both spoken and unspoken during Sunday liturgy.

Prayers of Thanksgiving. For …

  • For the many rich blessings around us. – Gid
  • When I decided to pursue music, it created a divide between me and my dad and I thought we had lost each other, it was such a relief that we hadn’t. -Sonia
  • For my sister in law who has cancer and went through chemo and the cancer is gone.
  • My wife and I are signing to be legal guardians of my niece this week in San Antonio. -Matthew
  • For this community who has been amazing, it’s a thanksgiving. -Anthony
  • For my brother who is battling mental illness and has been doing a bit better.
  • For my wife, Julia, for her health. – Oliver
  • For the community developing in this neighborhood, for this moment.

… let us bless the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Prayers of Petition. For …

  • For the discernment and God’s spirit in finding thirst in the right places. -Gid
  • For discernment to continue to hear from God, that His way would be my way. – Sonia
  • For my friend, Becky, who had her baby, but lost her father and grandfather the same day.
  • For peace. – Becky
  • I’m leaving for grad school in a week and leaving a city and girl that I love, for clarity. – Daniel
  • For entering a new season of life. – Matthew
  • For a miracle that my brother’s mental illness gets better.
  • For my wife, Julia, for her health, she’s not fully well and there is no answer why she has health issues. We’re going to Cleveland to see some of the best doctors to see what God has in store for us. – Oliver
  • For Gina, who is processing her mother’s death. For her and her family during this time. -Anslee
  • For lots of ailments that have been coming at me lately and seeing God in this season. – Anslee
  • My parent moved to Malaysia a few years ago, and my step mother’s father passed away last week. For what God can say to her that I can’t.
  • To allow the word and the leaders of our world, take heed, to let go and be quenched.
For my grandfather who has been in the hospital and his heart is functioning at 25% and he’s changing doctors.
  • For Phil, the sweetest old man I met and said he was praying for me this week, that we could lift him up and pray that he would find peace.

… let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy.
