Sure, Head & Shoulders has the market cornered when it comes to awkward commercials featuring white specks on black shirts worn by dirty people, but unbeknownst to many, psoriasis is not directly correlated to poor hygiene. As we spread awareness on psoriasis, enjoy this new segment we call ‘Foo, did you know!!!’

• Everyone sheds their skin approximately once every 28 days
• Psoriasis and dandruff, though similar, are not the same thing
• Onions and cheese can influence the flare ups of dandruff
• Approximately 7.5 million people are affected by psoriasis
• Psoriasis is not contagious
• There is currently no cure for psoriasis

[Neighborhoods Potluck Parties]

As our last hurrah for the summer, we will be having neighborhood potluck parties to celebrate the end of a season with our friends and neighbors. [Coffee Bar: Coming Soon]

If you haven’t heard already, Vox will begin serving coffee on Sundays during liturgy, as well as during special events at Space 12. Beginning on September 5th and going through the entire month of September, we will be begin Beta testing the sustainability of this new exciting venture and are hoping to get feedback and volunteers. If you get a chance, stop by Vox during our Sunday liturgies in September and give our coffee a taste and let us know what you think. And if you’d like to get involved, we’re currently in need of some help to operate the coffee bar. So if you’re interested in helping out or would like more info, send an email to Kevin and he’ll ring your bell with all the answers you can handle.

[Open Systems Meetings]

Go ahead, ask yourself what this is. Chances are your search will return with zero hits. If that happens, allow me to fill you in!! In 2 weeks, Vox will be holding our first ever ‘Open Systems Meeting’ where you, our beloved Vox community, are invited to join in on a series of discussions that will directly influence the future and direction of Vox by putting your fingerprints and passions on the tangibles that happen at Vox. On September 12th, 19th and 26th, join us after Vox where we will participate in meaningful conversation while swapping verbs, nouns and adjectives over a delightful luncheon. [Budget Affirmation Vote]

This past Sunday, we had our budget affirmation vote where you, our beloved Vox community, was asked to decide whether the proposed budget is approved or not.
