Liturgy
How long must we wait for answers, Creator?
How long will you hide your face from us?
What is our purpose?
Why are we here?
How long must we live so divided?
Can you not end all suffering?
Can you not liberate us from our oppressors?
Can you not provide for us in need?
How can we offer comfort to those in mourning
when we are not in mourning ourselves?
How can we rejoice with others
when we are in a state of sorrow?
Creator, in your infinite wisdom,
we remind ourselves that You have given us a chance
to question, to reason, to critique.
You’ve given us the power to make choices
and walk in the directions we wish.
You have born in us a curiosity that drives us
to chase whims, pick up passions, inspire creativity.
We ask that you continue to inspire within us
a sense of curiosity and questioning.
Reveal to us new insights about your creation.
Unveil new revelations about who You are.
Challenge us to be okay with the discomfort of change and
adjustment.
And illuminate our paths as we continue to seek answers.
Thank you, God, for your grace.
Thank you, Christ, for these gifts.
And thank you, Holy Spirit, for your inspiration.
Amen

Scripture
We invite you to hear from the Gospel according to John 3:1-4, 7-8
1 Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews. 2
He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are
a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you
do unless God is with that person.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I
tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from
above.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can anyone be born after having
grown old? Can one enter a second time into the mother’s womb and be
born?”
7 Do not be astonished that I said to you, ‘You must be born from above.’
8 The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you
do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone
who is born of the Spirit.
The Good News of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!
The grass withers and the flower fades,
but the Word of the Lord endures forever. Amen.

Benediction
God, You have created in each one of us
the desire to learn and grow.
To find joy in the things you have created.
To join you in the joy of creating.
You have invited us to dance with you in the divine.
And we are forever grateful to You.
As we continue down the path,
we ask that You give us eyes to see the world anew.
Give us ears to hear the melody that hums in everything.
Create in us a heart that yearns to understand the gifts You have given.
Inspire within us more questions, and doubts
So that we might join in Your creation making it good.
Thank you, God, for your grace.
Thank you, Christ, for these gifts.
And thank you, Holy Spirit, for your inspiration.
Amen
