Vox theology conversations are a chance to ask questions, reflect on scriptures, and be curious about the story God is telling through creation, humanity, Christ, the Spirit, and the church. James Alison said, “A theologian is someone who finds themselves on the inside of a communication that didn’t originate with them… therefore the first task of a theologian is to listen.”
Our hope is that approaching theology as a practice of listening — to God, the scriptures, and one another — will help us to live out our values of Participation with a Posture of humility and appreciation for Mystery, and equip us to engage theology as an opportunity to participate in the larger story God may be telling through us.
We will be hosting a conversation on April 20 for our community to practice and participate.
- When: Apr 20th, Wednesday, 7-9pm
- Where: Vesper
- Host: Gena St. David
