Liturgy Reflection & Benediction 06.11.2017

Liturgy

Most Holy Mystery, open our eyes, our ears,
and our hearts this morning to catch a glimpse
of God’s vision for our lives and all of creation;

to witness the presence of Christ in this place
and in one another; to feel the Spirit of God
moving around us, among us, and within us.

We are drawn together as a community to give
thanks, to be renewed, and to share our lives

that we might gain a glimpse of your
joyous life and join the dance of the
Father, Spirit, and Son now and always.

This we pray in the name
of the Father,
of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Community Confession

Lord, you have created a diverse world, a world
full of languages, of nationalities, and ideologies,
and we carry commitments like so many burdens.

Forgive us for confusing our own
voices with the call to be your people.

You have placed us in this place and time,
you have given us the breath in our lungs,
and the bodies we each inhabit.

Forgive our selfishness which tells us to hold
back from others the gifts you gave us freely.

Your word is a lamp unto our feet,
your story is a way of life,
your commands are our freedom.

Forgive us for believing that we know
better than what you know is best for
ourselves and others.

We pray in the name
of the Father,
of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Sermon and Reflection

Sermon Podcast 06.11.17 – Belonging

Who among us needs to hear the message, “You belong”?
How do I enjoy being playful with God and others?

Benediction

Go now, sent by the one
who was sent by God.

Walk in the light; testify to the
life and resurrection of Christ;
forgive the sins of all, and live
at peace with one another.

And may God bless you with life forever;
May Christ Jesus breathe his Spirit and
peace into you; and may the Holy Spirit
lead you into the life and light of God.

Depart from here,
serving in the name
of the Father,
of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Go in peace and live the church.
See you throughout the week.
