Liturgy
The Holy accompanies those who seek Wholeheartedness,
Divinity dances with those who love Liberation,
The Living Christ makes a home with those who practice Solidarity,
and Cosmic Consolation befriends those facing sorrow.
Let us worship God—the Web who Holds Together All Things,
The Sacred Mystery who makes vivid the ways of Compassion.
Holy Spirit, when we do not know what we ought to pray for,
intercede for us through wordless groans
For grief lives in our bodies and weighs down our spirits.
Injustice accumulates, brims over,
affects our daily lives, rattles our mental health.
Rock us in your expansive arms.
Groan forth healing into our world.
We pray in the name of the
God who Is for Us,
of Christ who Sets Us Free,
and Spirit who is Life and Peace,
Amen.

Scripture
We invite you to hear from the letter to the Romans 8:26-32.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. 27 And God, who searches hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to God’s purpose. 29 For those whom God foreknew God also predestined to be conformed to the image of God’s Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.
30 And those whom God predestined God also called, and those whom God called God also justified, and those whom God justified God also glorified.31 What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 God who did not withhold God’s own Son but gave him up for all of us, how will God not with him also give us everything else?
The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!
The grass withers and the flower fades,
but the Word of the Lord endures forever. Amen.
Homily and Reflection
Homily Podcast – Rallying Cry of Resistance 7.30.2023
How do you handle moments when you find yourself speechless?
How can we continue to bear witness as God’s subversive global family?
Benediction
God of Heartbreak and Solidarity.
May we learn to align our actions
with our deepest convictions.
May your Merciful Wisdom flow through
our decision-making and healing.
Let us go from here
soaking up the Divine Reality,
in which we participate,
that neither life nor death,
neither the present nor the future,
neither height of joy nor depth of despair,
nor any powers of destruction,
can separate us
from the Sacred Interdependent Love
that is our birthright.
In the name of,
God, who Parents our Global Family,
the Son, whose Nonviolent Love holds together all life,
and the Spirit, who midwives wholeness through our pain.
Amen
