Our local partner this year is Urban Roots, which is a farm-based youth leadership organization in East Austin where they use food and farming to engage and help in the lives of young people while also providing food for the local community.

We will be hosting a donation drive to help provide Urban Roots with more gardening tools and supplies.  Please bring any donations with you to Vesper on Sunday, December 12th, where they will have a van to collect donations.

Here is what Urban Roots is needing:

• Any garden tools: rakes, wheel barrels, hoes, work gloves
• Cleaning supplies: paper towels and dish soap
• Large plastic bins (this is their biggest need for transporting produce)
• Stand up tools are preferred over hand-held tools
• Used tools are great as long as they are in working condition
• HEB gift cards: to use towards groceries for cooking demos
