Liturgy

The Spirit of God calls us from many places;
from the places we call home and those we
occupy for the time being.

Yet we all come to this same place; all of us seeking
God’s presence in our lives, all of us seeking God’s
presence with each other, all of us seeking to work
and rest in the presence of our Creator.

We come together at the invitation of
God’s grace to rejoice in the story we
are a part of and proclaim the victories
we have experienced to bring us here.

Together, we are God’s family
and we worship in the name
of the Father,
of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Community Confession

Father God, in this season of life, it is so
easy to dwell on the hardship and trials
and indeed, we all experience them in our
own lives every day, leading us to forget
the grace and goodness you wish for us.

You have given us a community as an
expression of your love and hope and grace
to support each other through life’s hardships.

Lord, on this day of celebrating our
community, forgive us for our
nearsightedness and selfishness.

Remake us into a people of
wholeness as a living reminder
of your love here on earth.

Give us an inclination to listen fully and
with compassion to those we see as “other”
that we may hear our own fears in them and
see the opportunities where we can share
your love with them.

We pray in the name
of the Father,
of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.

to the places where he is needed.

Let the Holy Spirit be your constant
companion throughout the week
to guide you and protect you.
