Liturgy Reflection & Benediction 10.25.2015

Liturgy

Our heavenly Father, we dare
to imagine a world where hunger
has no chance to show its face.

We dare to dream of a world
where war and terror are
afraid to leave their mark.

We long to believe in a world of hope
unchained and lives unfettered.

We dare to share in the creation of a
world where your people break free.

We dare to chase after your heart,
oh Lord, that our minds and our l
ives may be renewed…restored.

For it is with you, that the hope
of peace may be made real.

Your kingdom come, O God.
Your will be done.

We ask all this in the name
of the Father,
of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit,
amen.

Community Confession

May the word of Christ guide you daily.
May the light of his Spirit bless the work you
do with the love and warmth of your heart.

May people see in you the beauty of
your soul reflecting the image of Christ.
May your work never weary you.

May the Holy Spirit within overflow with the
wellsprings of refreshment, inspiration and
excitement that all may know how good and
gracious is our Father in heaven.

Go forth this and every week, serving
in the name of the Father,
of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Go in peace, and live the church.
See you throughout the week.

Sermon and Reflection

Sermon Podcast 10.25.15 -Spiritual Discernment: An Invitation

Are we in a season of being inclined to lean toward or away from God?
In what ways do we engage Scripture to renew our minds?
Who are those in our lives that are trusted and are in tune with the source of God’s wisdom?
