[Vox News] Ash Wednesday Edition

[Sunday Liturgy]
Our Sunday Liturgy is at 11:00 AM at Mosaic (5619 Airport Blvd). Join us as begin our new Lenten series entitled Sacrifice.

[Crochet Art]
We want to bridge a relationship between Vox and Mosaic by displaying our talents together. Since both communities have a large textile interest, we are putting together an art show, “A Thousand Fibers,” for Feb. 27th from 7pm – 9pm.

For more information, please see the facebook event.

[Community Care Focus Groups]
We are looking for people to help give input and feedback about your experiences with receiving care at Vox. We would like to get a fair sampling from the community, so if you have felt cared for by Vox or if you have felt neglected, we want to hear your thoughts. So please join us at Space12 this Sunday, March 1st or next Sunday, March 8th, from 1pm-2:30pm. Please bring a lunch with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to Kevin.

Or to get more details, please see the facebook event.

[Neighborhood Celtic Prayers]
This week, our neighborhood groups wrote their own Celtic prayers as we continue to discover what Spiritual Formation looks like for our community. Check out the prayers and we encourage you to use them during those daily activities.

[Vox Baptism]
Baptism is the public celebration of participating in Christ’s death and resurrection. It connects us both to what God is doing in this world and with the global/historical community of friends following Christ. If you are interested in getting baptized or finding out more information, please contact Weylin.

[Hurricane Ike Relief]
Vox is in the process of organizing a relief trip to Galveston in April to lend a hand with some Hurricane Ike relief work. If you’re interested, please contact Sam.

[BYOM – Bring Your Own Mug]
Because food is such a great catalyst for community, we plan to have delectable edibles and drinkables available every Sunday morning during our liturgies. Although it would be easy to buy disposable cups for the drinks, we want to be an environmentally conscious community and ask that everyone bring their own mug. This way, you’ll not only feel more at home, but we can all do our part in reducing unnecessary waste.

[Rides to Vox]
If you live on campus and are in need of a ride on Sunday morning to join us for Liturgy, please email us and we’ll hook you up. If you could send an email by 11pm on Friday, that would be greatly appreciated.
