Liturgy
On this Holiest of nights, Your stars are shining brightly
Proclaiming the coming of Your Son
Christ, the Savior, is born in a manger
Hope has sprung for a weary world
and the brightness of morning is just around the corner
Let us join with the Angels and proclaim:
O night divine, night when Christ was born.
O Holy night.
Send forth the good news
Spread the word that Love and Grace are here to stay
The King of kings has come
He sees our weakness, knows our need
Behold our King is here
Truly you taught us to love one another
Your message is Love, and your gospel is Peace
You have come to set us free
You have made us One.
God, Let us praise Your Holy name
Christ, you are Lord;
We praise your name forever in the Spirit
Amen

Lectio Reading
[Luke 2:13-15]
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host
appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace
to those on whom his favor rests.” 15 When the angels
had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said
to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing
that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and
the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they
had seen him, they spread the word concerning what
had been told them about this child, 18 and all who
heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to
them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and
pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising God for all the things they had
heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Benediction
On this holy night and all other nights
You have proclaimed Your Love for us
Your love dances in the beauty of the bluebonnet
In the song of the grackle
The warmth of dog breath
Your Love whispers in the dry brown leaves
In the sweetness of a ripe plum
In the smile of a stranger
Your Love shines throughout.
It’s on this night, the night we remember Your son joining us here on
Earth,
That we recognize Your unending Love and Grace extended to us.
In Your most incredible wisdom, You saw us.
Our every thought, our every action,
And You still declared Your creation good.
It is because of Your Love and Grace that we can proclaim
Glory to God in the highest. Glory to You evermore.
We praise You, Holy God,
We thank You, Christ, our Savior
And we dance with You, Holy Spirit.
Amen.
