Midweek Prayer 01.19.11

Over the last few months, we have been in an extension discussion on what prayer should look like as a church.  We spent last summer looking at how different communities have prayed throughout history starting from today going all the way back to the early church. Since then, we have instituted a congregational prayer during our Sunday liturgy and created a space for people who want to be prayed for during the celebration of the Eucharist.  This week, we are starting our first ever mid-week prayer.

For those who cannot make it to Space12 at noon on Wednesdays, please feel free to join us in prayer at your home or workplace.  This week we will be praying together a fixed hour prayer.  If you are not familiar with a fixed hour prayer, please feel free to read up on the history of the practice. Apparently if you have an ipod or iphone, you can pray with us on your shiny piece of technology as well.  Tomorrow at noon, please join us by clicking Pray the Hours halfway down the Divine Hours Website.
