Liturgy Reflection & Benediction 10.04.09

Liturgy
Loving God, let there be:
A way of walking that harms not the earth,
A way of having that leaves plenty for others,
A time for tears that dissolves grief,
A time for kindness that heals many wounds,
A path of peacemaking that settles strife,
A path of justice-seeking that creates hope.
Loving God, let there be:
A season of faithfulness,
A promise of eternity,
A way to be living,
A song for singing.

To follow your Son as he so lived,
to give as he so generously gave,

in the name of the Father, Son,
and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Reflection
What has God entrusted you with and how can you use those abilities or resources for the benefit of others?

Are there any actions and changes that you’re not taking ownership of?

How have you been taken God’s grace for granted?

How has the reality of your sin led you to humility and gratitude?

Benediction
Go in peace to be part of the new creation of human community.

Go in love to take the hands of those
who long for peace and justice,
and let God, the Creator, speak through us in all formation.

Go, asking Jesus to bring all creation to his calling,
and lead our community to the places where he is needed.

Let the Holy Spirit be your constant companion
throughout the week
to guide you and protect you.

In the name of the Father, the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, we pray.
Amen.

Go and live the church. See you throughout the week.
