Last year, Vox Veniae partnered with Chris and Jenny Hoskins through our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, to support their missionary work with pastoral care in Ecuador. Below, they share an update on their life and work in Ecuador. If you’d like to learn more about the Hoskins, there are a few resources below.
Vox Veniae,
Wow! One year in Ecuador! Some days it truly feels like we have lived here forever and others when it still feels like we just arrived. It is with such deep and sincere gratitude that we celebrate this milestone with you all.
We are busy preparing to go to the United States to attend Gather, the Evangelical Covenant Church’s annual meeting where Chris will be ordained and Jenny will be consecrated as a missionary. Thank you so much for your continued support of our family and the partnership that we have been called to in Ecuador. We are so grateful that you have been a part of the journey that has brought us to this point in our life in ministry. We are looking forward to seeing family, friends and ministry partners during our short trip to the US.
While in the US we will also be trying to secure our permanent residency visas to continue to live and serve in Ecuador. We ask for your prayers on Friday, June 16th as we go to the Ecuadorian consulate in Chicago to try to resolve our visa issues.
These past weeks have been filled with teaching, writing projects to present to the national church boards to better equip churches to respond to domestic violence and human trafficking, meeting and planning with our mission team here, pulling together visa paperwork and helping our kids finish out the school year well.
Please remember to check out our blog for more stories and photos. Thank you once again for your faithful support of our family and partnership with the Ecuadorian Covenant Church.
Peace,
Chris, Jenny, Breck and Elsa
