Liturgy
O God, our resurrection and life,
the promise of your new life in Christ
is a breath of fresh air in a dry and thirsty land.
We gather as your people here,
working in the city to be your hands and feet.
Guide our liturgy this hour.
O God, who makes all things new,
speak to us as a whole people today.
May your truth touch not just our intellects,
but also our deeper yearnings of heart and soul.
We bring with us our daily concerns for our friends,
our neighbors, our coworkers,
and all those you place in our path.
May your new creation in us
shed light to all upon our everyday walk.
O God, who fed the multitudes
with but a few loaves and some fish,
feed us now with the abundance of what you freely offer,
that we might overflow with your goodness right where we live.
All this we pray in the name of,
and because of, Jesus our Christ. Amen.
Reflection
What talents and resources do I have?
Who can I show love to this week?
How do we keep sacrifice rooted in love?
Benediction
We go now, secure in the love of God
from which nothing can separate us.
We delight in seeking the Lord –
looking always for the power and the presence of God,
letting love permeate all that we do.
May God work for good in all things through us;
May Christ Jesus conform us in the image of his sacrificial love;
And may the Holy Spirit help us in our weakness,
interceding for us, and in us, according to the will of God.
In peace, may we live in our city to love and serve the Lord,
In the name of Christ. Amen.
Go in peace and live the church.
