Our Sunday Liturgy is at 11:00 AM at Mosaic (5619 Airport Blvd). Join us as we start a new series entitled ‘Courage’, based upon the book of Joshua.
[MS 150 Road Closures]
Tremendous impact in the eradication of Multiple Sclerosis will be happening this weekend through the MS150, a fundraising bike ride from Houston to Austin. To accommodate these men and women, several roads will be closed this Sunday and may require detours and extra patience, especially for those coming from campus. For more information on which roads are closed, details can be found here.
[One Day Without Shoes]
Come barefoot and stroll through Hyde Park as we try to raise awareness for kids who are forced to go barefoot.

[Muntu – Reflections in East Austin]
This multimedia exhibit offers the entire Austin community a time and space for shared reflection on this and related questions, for conversations of all kinds, in diverse media. There will be 3 different events happening this month, both of which will be happening at Space 12, so please join us for one or all of them if you can. The events are:
1. Opening Reception
Saturday, April 18th, 7pm -10pm
A satellite event of Austin Earth Day which will include DJing, an Art Installation by Rama Tiru, and a one-woman play written and directed by Natalie Goodnow.
2. City Council Candidates’ Forum
Thursday, April 23rd, 6pm – 8pm
With the overarching purpose of Muntu being about what is happening to the trees and people of East Austin amidst the city’s changing cultural and geographical landscape, we will be having questions for city council and mayoral candidates regarding community concerns.
3. Open Albums
Saturday, April 25th, 10am -12pm
The first of a series of free monthly breakfasts to share photographs and stories from growing up in East Austin. Join us as we listen and see the stories from those who grew up on the East Side. If you have a neighbor who grew up on the East Side of Austin, please invite them to bring a photo and join us for this beautiful event.

[Recession Intercession]
It’s no secret that the current economic situation has been making its way around the country. Certain areas have been hit harder than others, but we are not immune to the forces of layoffs, downsizing and greedy executives. As a community, we want to be available to help those who have become a casualty of the system to give encouragement, prayer and any possible leads for potential employment opportunities. If you are unemployed or know of job openings, please join us Sunday, April 19th at 10am at Mosaic (5619 Airport Blvd) to give and receive support during this tumultuous economic climate.

[Vox Baptism]
Baptism is the public celebration of participating in Christ’s death and resurrection. It connects us both to what God is doing in this world and with the global/historical community of friends following Christ. At the moment, the baptism is scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd, so if you are interested in getting baptized or finding out more information, please contact Weylin.

Do the phrases ‘intentional community’ or ‘communal living’ invoke a sense of curiosity, excitement or interest in you? If so, we’d love for you to consider joining the 297 Collective. We currently have several spots open for those who are interested in taking part of Vox Veniae’s communal living initiatives in East Austin. [BYOM – Bring Your Own Mug]
Because food is such a great catalyst for community, we plan to have delectable edibles and drinkables available every Sunday morning during our liturgies. Although it would be easy to buy disposable cups for the drinks, we want to be an environmentally conscious community and ask that everyone bring their own mug. This way, you’ll not only feel more at home, but we can all do our part in reducing unnecessary waste.
