We often talk about the value of contemplative prayer and experiences but sometimes it’s difficult to get started. I may like the idea of “resting in God’s loving gaze” but I’m not sure how to. During this time we’ll experience different teachings on contemplative experience, have time to practice, and take time to debrief these experiences. Questions we hope to engage include:
How do I find meaningful prayer or contemplative practices that work for me?
How does contemplation support the tensions of justice work?
What do I do with difficult emotions and memories that arise when I slow down?
What: Learn and process different contemplative experiences
When: Monday nights, starting August 13th, 7-8:30pm
