Missions: Investment

For the last three years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the global missions coordinator for Vox. The missions team, a small group of us, guide the local and global relationships and donations. Together, we looked to the ECC for guidance and created the following statement to help direct our decision making: As a community, we covenant to equip […]

April Clothing Drive

Austin State Hospital is in need of men’s clothing. The smaller and bigger sizes are of most need. Shorts and summertime clothing will start to become a need as it warms up over the next month. Shoes, belts, suspenders and other accessories would also be greatly appreciated. Much of the clothing that the people we are serving wear come here […]

“Bee” Active: Missional Motivation from Katie Garcia

If you’re like me, then the desire to live a missional life comes with a whole host of inner conflict. Where do I start? Is it effective? Is it sustainable? Am I giving fish or teaching to fish? What if I disrupt a local economy? Am I incentivizing unwanted behaviors? Am I enabling? Am I fully utilizing my gifts? What […]

One of our local missions partners, Genesis Gardens, a part of Mobile Loaves and Fishes, will be hosting a Washing & Bunching session once a week at Space12. These vegetables harvested from the gardens will be prepped to be delivered to the homeless and formerly homeless in Austin. If you’re interested in working with some veggies and even passing on […]
