Liturgy Reflection & Benediction 06.28.09

Liturgy
Gracious God, make each of us an instrument of your grace.

Weave us into a community showing forth your power and tenderness.
Bless us and our differences, to courageously stand together.

We call on you today to gather us in your love.
Lead us to better know you and glorify you on each step of the journey of our lives.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
may we be peace and a sign of God’s love. Amen.

Reflection
What steps do you need to take to excel in the practice of giving?

What strategies can you develop to turn emotional giving into sustainable generosity?

What resources do you have an abundance of? How can you try to create equality around you?

How can Vox be more generous to the city of Austin?

Benediction
Christ has no body now on earth but ours,
no hands but ours,
no feet but ours.
We are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion
cares for the people of the world;

we are the feet with which Christ is to go about doing good;
we are the hands through which Christ now
brings a blessing.
We promise this day to keep awake,
to live each moment to the full,
to look with eyes of compassion,
and to act with kindness.

In the name of the Father, the Son
and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Go with the peace of Christ and live the church.
See you throughout the week.

Go and live the church. See you throughout the week.

This post needs your thoughts.
