As I look into the mirror
And taste my wretched breath
Cleanse the clinging particles stuck in the crevices of my life
As I encounter people with garlic breath
May I breathe fresh mint into the day
As I encounter those around me
Teach me to scope out those less fortunate
And burn those in my memory
May I not miss those in front
May I not miss those behind
May I not miss those to the left
May I not miss those to the right
Father, may my lips speak peace
Jesus, may my words bring hope
Spirit, may my smile bring joy
Morning and night, may I be reminded of you. Amen.
