With great pride and overactive saliva glands, we acknowledge you, our dear brethren and sistren of the massive land mass known as Canada. Your love for hockey, curling and beaver tails has been a world wide inspiration. Your popular agricultural exports of Sugar, Lumber and Steve Nash help us believe that we too can contribute great things to the world. But your decision to export the global evils of Nickleback, Celine Dion and Justin Bieber has completely compromised your credibility in having any consideration for your fellow human being. But on this Canada Day, we are willing to look past these unfortunate iniquities and share in a delightful bowl of Poutine while bellowing this song from the top of our lungs.

[ECC Update]
Again, we wanted to thank our community for their feedback in our ECC affirmation vote. We received overwhelming support from the Vox community that we should join ECC and continue down this path of partnership. The Nav Team will be coordinating with ECC as far as the logistics and will keep you posted on the next steps.


[Neighborhoods Resumes]
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, the time has come. This Sunday marks the kick off of Summer Neighborhoods, and if you've been privy to any Vox sponsored kick off event in the past, you know that this is a party that can't be missed. Join us this Sunday for some delicious BBQ as we ring in a new season of Neighborhoods. No, Vox isn't on the prowl for a date, nor are we trying to solicit help in matchmaking. We are, however wanting to let you all know that one of the Vox houses on the East Side is available to anyone who may be interested in moving into the neighborhood. This house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and lots of character. [LiNK Film Viewing]
There will be a special interest film viewing sponsored by the organization LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) on Friday, July 9th at 7pm. This documentary is hosted by Lisa Ling, field correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and sister of Laura Ling - one of the two American journalists recently detained in North Korea. It takes a look at what life is like inside North Korea. For more details on this event, check out the Facebook event. [Nav Team Birth Announcement - Emily Cox!!]
We are so excited to share the news with the world that the newest addition to the Nav Team family has finally arrived!! Her name is Emily Cox, and we couldn't be prouder to welcome her in to the flock. With the addition of Emily, the team not only gets stronger and wiser, thanks to her life experiences at A&M, Fuller and Foundation For The Homeless, but the chances of the Nav Team winning a tennis tournament has gotten exponentially better!! Can you say 'Ringer, baby!!!'???!!!! If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to chat with anyone on the Nav Team to voice your grievances, approvals, or requests for more free juice boxes during snacks. And finally, the next chance you get, grab a chat with Emily, and in no time, you'll see why her addition to the Nav Team is the greatest thing Vox has done since getting a ping pong table.

[Lost and Found]
No, we're not referring to the band whose song 'Lions' features the slinky as a percussion instrument. We're referring to the bin of unclaimed goodies and homeless artifacts located next to the water cooler by the bar at Space12. If you think you may have left something at Space12, chances are it's been put into the lost and found bin. At the end of each month, we plan on donating the contents of the lost and found bin, so please check to make sure you haven't misplaced anything you don't mind passing along to those who can use it.


[Getting Involved with Vox]
Have you always wanted to get more involved with Vox but haven't known how? Do you have a passion or vision for something that Vox isn't currently involved in? If you answered YES to either of these questions, then this is for you!! We would love to help you get more involved with what's happening in the Vox community, as well as come along side your passion and vision to help it leave the dream realm and give it life. [Reading Recommendations]
Recently, we finished our conversation through Paul's letter to the Romans and discussed Paul's reference to the Roman community as, "complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another" (15:14). The word 'complete' was often used in the ancient world as a sailing term, whenever the wind would fill (complete) the sail and propel the boat towards the open seas. In the same way, our hope is to become a community where our knowledge propels us to where God is moving in the world. As a tool to help us move in this direction, we compiled a list of suggested readings which can be found here.

Hi, my name is Vox Veniae, and this is my cousin Space 12. I'm 4 years old, and Space just turned one a little while ago. We're very friendly, housebroken and love our bellies rubbed. You might be wondering what this acronym stands for. Well, allow me to spill the beans!! WYOMP stands for 'Wash Your Own Mugs, Please '. One of the new perks of having our liturgy at Space12 is the plethora of mugs and drinking utensils at our disposal. Unfortunately, when the liturgy is over and the snacks are all consumed, the once clean cups are left dirty and all alone in the sink. If you could, after you have finished enjoying the delightful snacks and beverages, please lend a hand with washing the mugs and drinkware. That would be greatly appreciated.
